CHANGE
Dear beautiful “ Vie Retreats” community,
Lately, life has been teaching me a lot about change.
As many of you know, I am the co-founder of Vie Retreats, and behind every retreat we create, there is always a piece of our real life, our real journey, and our real emotions woven into it.
This season, my family and I are stepping into a completely new chapter. My son has just graduated high school and is preparing for university. A milestone filled with excitement, pride, and the bittersweet emotions every parent understands. At the same time, my husband, my two daughters, and I will be relocating from Lebanon to Spain.
For my daughters, aged 12 and 15, this transition comes with many emotions: excitement, uncertainty, curiosity, fear, hope… and everything in between. And honestly, as adults, we feel the same way too.
Change is rarely comfortable.
I always repeat the cliche but very realistic line “ Change is hard in the beginning, messy in the middle, but often beautiful at the end”.
And perhaps that is exactly why retreats matter so much. They give us space to pause, reconnect, reflect, and realign during periods of transformation.
This personal journey has also inspired me creatively. As Vie Retreats continues to grow, I feel called to explore new destinations and experiences beyond the places we already deeply love, from Chamonix to Tuscany, Sicily, and Portugal.
Now, Spain is opening its doors to us, and I cannot wait to discover its hidden gems, soulful landscapes, peaceful coastlines, mountains, villages, and magical retreat settings.
And I would love to hear from you.
If you could retreat anywhere in Spain, where would it be?
A quiet seaside village, the mountains, the islands, northern Spain?
Your ideas may very well inspire one of our future retreats.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us, not only the beautiful moments, but also the transitions, the unknowns, and the growth that comes with them.
With love,
Joyce Youhanna D’Ubaldo
